People of the Mercado: Stories of Life & Grit, is an exhibition of 16 digital art portraits that present the images and stories of 16 workers, artists and community leaders linked to the Mercado La Paloma through their work or their artistic and social activities. They are the faces and voices of ordinary people, who are often overlooked, with remarkable stories of migration, determination, and grit.

People of the Mercado: Stories of Life & Grit is an extension of the work Mujeres del Mercado: Portraits and Stories by digital artists Sandy Navarro and Angélica Romero.
